Hurricane Milton

The National Weather Service has placed Pinellas County in the potential path of Hurricane Milton, which is forecasted to become a hurricane.

All Pinellas County parks and preserves will be closed to the public beginning Monday, October 7 in preparation for the potential impacts of Hurricane Milton.

Ridgecrest Park sits by a 5-acre freshwater lake and is 23 acres nestled in the Ridgecrest neighborhood of Largo.  This park provides a ball field and a playground area for outdoor fun.

A New Place to Play at Ridgecrest Park

A state-of-the art playground is coming to Ridgecrest Park in late 2024. Construction will start in early October and last about eight weeks. After its completion, the new playground will replace the existing one located near Picnic Shelter No. 3. 

The new playground will feature a diverse range of ADA-friendly equipment suitable for various ages and abilities. From swings and slides to climbing structures and crawl spaces, this playground will provide a safe and enjoyable space for children to play with family, old friends and soon-to-be new friends.
